The exotic Grand Cayman beaches
Grand Cayman beaches are truly some of the most spectacular beaches
you'll find anywhere in the world. One thing that surprises some people
is that all the beaches on the island are public beaches and there are no
private ones. This means that there will be a wide variety of locals and
tourists on the beaches. This isn't a bad thing though as often talking
to the locals you'll get some great information on the best places to
visit on the island and the best things to do whilst on your vacation.
The most popular of all of Grand Cayman beaches is its seven mile beach.
This is the most popular beach to the tourists due to its many attractions
that it offers. It now only measures about 5 1/2 miles so its name can be
quite misleading. It offers quite a contrasting mix of soft sandy beaches
as well as more rockier beaches in the north. It can get quite busy
during peak seasons, so this is worth bearing in mind when you decide
where you are going to stay on the island. It may be better to stay in a
more quiet remote area where you can easily travel to the seven mile beach
for a day trip.
A great way to travel around the island and explore some of the other
beaches that Grand Cayman has to offer is to hire a car. It is relatively
inexpensive and will allow you to visit more of the remote areas of the
island. There are many beaches that can be explored in a short space of
time by car that you probably wouldn't have the time to see if you didn't
hire one. It also makes it easier to transport any watersport equipment
that you may have including scuba diving equipment. This means you'll
quickly be able to get to remote areas and have that unforgettable dive
that you've always dreamed of.
